COMPANY PROFILE

The Androidsinboots team is a group of photographers and videographers who believe in the importance of visual storytelling. Our craft isn’t just about creating the familiar and the good; we embrace unconventionality and eclecticism. We endeavour to keep our work as honest as possible and are constantly looking for new opportunities to bring forth a new visual experience to each and every client of ours. In collaboration with artists and designers, we work across multidisciplinary platforms to create projects that excite and inspire. As a creative business, we believe in the expression of sentiment into a narrative that resonates with the collective.

Our strength lies in our people. A team of 18 based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Melbourne, everyone started out with different creative backgrounds. As such, each individual brings something different to the table. From photographers, designers, writers to travelers – be it planning logistics or producing a shoot, we have got you covered. As an international collective, we work collaboratively with our clients, and with each other, leading to opportunities to create projects all around the world.

The Artist

She who adorns herself in flowers finds solace in unyielding ones; florals by artistic muses translated into couture, an array of colours breathing life into Henri Matisse’s artwork. Each prick and stitch is meticulous, beads and sequins adorning seam-to-seam of every garment as the perfect portrayal of an artist’s canvas. The representation of day to night depicts the collection’s meld of bursting vibrance and acute sombreness, Roy Lichtenstein and Matisse’s legacy living through wearable art.

Wedding Styled Shoot: Decadence of Decay

It is intriguing how a mansion of former grandeur- now taken back by nature- could be more beautiful than it was before.
Inspired by the way of the light that fell and embraced the delicate structure, we brought along two gowns and allowed the architecture to draw out the allure in our images. The decay of the forgotten house adorned her, and a sense of tranquility was reflected in her posture. The wonderful thing about our world? Wherever you look, if you are looking for beauty- you will find it.

Wedding Styled Shoot: Railway Romance

The Tanjong Pagar railway station reflects a certain kind of lost grandeur. Left on its own, rust has crept in, and vines and cobwebs adorn the whitewashed building. Yet, there is no denying the old world charm it exudes. Stepping into its hollowed halls, it is almost as if gaining a secret glimpse into a once grand chronicle. A place defined by the passage of time, its walls reminiscing joyful hellos and teared goodbyes, we found it the perfect backdrop to narrate the story of this railway romance.

Wedding Styled Shoot: Simple Elegance

Minimalist meets extravagance – This shoot takes on a hauntingly beautiful tone; soft lighting exemplified by the neutral colour palette and simple setup by Truly Enamoured. Soft tulles overlays one another to form a dreamlike atmosphere. She feels ethereal donned in Monique Lhuillier; adorning the foliage of beaded florals, clusters of sequins seating dormant beneath each carefully planned pleat. A classic ambience brings out the timeless, perpetual beauty to its best.

Soon Lee Styled Shoot

Wedding Styled Shoot: Romantic Bohemian

Rich, ladylike colours complete with antique wares and florals in vibrant rich hues were placed against romantic white gowns by Rebecca Caroline and hair and makeup by Airin Lee to create this soft, beautiful bohemian styled shoot. A clash of deep berry hues with pops of bold magenta, red and forest green by Keira Floral and beautiful rustic vintage styling and decor by Le Conte Decor complete with a Handmade Macrame backdrop and some dream catchers.

The day was cloudy and cool with patches of hazy sunlight, the leaves moved in the light breeze, the sweet scent of the cakes drifted through the air, and we let our bohemian daydream take us away.

OVERSEAS STYLED SHOOTS

Hong Kong Wedding Styled Shoot: Beyond the Fog

With Tai Mo Shan anchoring the backdrop of a cold February morning, our first ever styled shoot collaboration with some of the finest wedding folks in Hongkong was an otherworldly affair- featuring instagrammers @mmm1122 and @ngaichakchak who will be tying the knot next year.
With the fog organically setting a mythical undertone to its landscape, gowns by Noel chu Atelier and Cocoon Bridal shimmered subtly against the dusk, while florals by Hahahaflorist added a tinge of vibrance amidst somber cool hues. Each detail was handpicked to create an ethereal and mysterious scene; from vintage accessories by Down the Aisle Atelier, table elements by MATCH event production and a framed backdrop from Amen Florist & Decor, to elegant calligraphy by Words and Ribbons and a copper-dusted cake by A Legna Pâtisseries.
Beautifully captured by AndroidsinBoots, this gorgeous shoot exudes grandeur, charm- and just a slight hint of enchantment.

New Zealand Wedding Styled Shoot: AIB X WEDDING CRAFTERS

This styled shoot transports us to the rambling pastures of New Zealand, flanked by rugged mountains, majestic lakes and the occasional scattering of sheep. A sweeping white lace gown from Wedding Crafters established the tone for the remainder of the styling, whilst the loose and rustic bouquet, created by The Vase, provided the perfect hues and added depth to the overwhelming expanse of gold and green. The model’s undone hair and barely-there makeup mirrored the wild and reckless abandon present throughout the surrounding landscape. We attempted to capture a heart in rapture as we stood engulfed in all of New Zealand’s raw unbridled beauty.
